Just the best from Milan

Oh, it’s fashion week again in Milan and again the city is bubbling with glamour, celebrities and parties everywhere.

Fashionistas from all over the planet have been waiting in expectation, eager to know in what amazing ways Italian designers will surprise them one more time. The shows are many, and many are the gorgeous  outfits that we have seen on the catwalk.

Very chic and sexy at the same time the short dresses presented by Byblos, definitely  I could do with one of each for next summer…

Short length dresses and skirts are  going to be a must. Giorgio Armani ‘s version is as usual very classy, soft and feminine, absolutely lovely:

Short pants too will still be a big trend. Here is a very cool, colorful outfit with shorts, by Roccobarocco.

Another  amazing outfit  in total-white by the same designer:

If you like the sheerness and translucency of lace  you will not be disappointed, there is going to be a lot of it next year. This sensual gipsy-inspired outfit is also by Roccobarocco:

Lace also for Versace, who combines it with leather and silk to create very interesting, extravagant designs, dedicated to a woman who is both “strong and fragile”,  as Donatella declared. The total look, including knee-high gladiator boots,  is really sexy….

But most of us will not go to this excess, right? Anteprima presented a very wearable collection, without failing to be sophisticated and stylish. These are my favourite outfits from Anteprima’s collection:

Stay in style in Milan

Couple of weeks ago Giorgio Armani opened his flagship hotel in Milan in an unpretentious atmosphere due to the Italian financial crisis.the-exterior-of-the-Armani-Hotel-in-via-Manzoni-Milan
Not the best of time in fact to boast a luxurious. 11.000 Euros-per-night presidential suite… The hotel follows the opening of the Armani Hotel inDubai, within the Burji Khalifa Building, which is the world’s tallest building, and anticipates further similar projects by the designer in cities like Marrakech, London, Shanghai and New York.

restaurant-at-the-Armani-Hotel-Milano Located in Via Manzoni, right in the heart of Milan, the Armani Hotel has 95 rooms. Guests can treat themselves to a seventh-floor panoramic restaurant with views on the Duomo and, after the efforts of an intense shopping session in the city, they can indulge in the pleasures offered by a gym, a relaxation pool, and a rooftop state-of-the art spa. What more can one ask for?

rooms-at-the-armani-Hotel-MilanInteriors are definitely one of my favourite subjects. Wherever I am, I always look at shapes, colours, fabrics, and all details. Here the concept is based on a sophisticated minimalism, which is also Armani’s signature in the realm of fashion. Clean lines and neutral tones dominate this space in the same way they dominate the designer’s collections.  I love the sense of effortless perfection that exudes from Armani’s designs, although I think that the same aesthetics applied to a hotel can create a cold atmosphere – and I like cosy places!  But of course, this is just my opinion, and it’s a fact that the Armani is an absolutely beautiful hotel. So if you are planning to come to Milan keep it in mind, this is definitely and incredible place to be….

Highlights from Milan Fashion Week

Milan Fashion Week has ended a couple of days ago, and it’s  just the right time to spend some words on how amazing were the designs we have seen on the runways. On top of my list I would put D&G’s collection,  at least for these gorgeous  colorful  dresses, beautifully shaped out of  a foulard and very inspired by the  classic  Hermès  prints.

Fendi was able to come up  with a really stylish, glamorous, and unique collection designed by Karl Lagerfield. Most of all, I love the haircut ! So so cool! I have decided  I must try it out…

Very imaginative is  Moschino‘s  spanish inspired collection, based on a total black color scheme, with gold and white accents, and a lot of embroideries and accessories.  The black skinny trowsers and the gold sandals paired with it will definitely be a must have.

Love it or leave it, studs are the distinctive sign of Versace‘s 2012 Spring Summer collection.

Giorgio Armani‘s designs are  as usual the most sophisticated one can imagine, with a neutral,  pastel based colour palette. The cut of this dress is so perfect that  it could just be a sculpture . By the way, I am glad to see that one shoulder tops will still be on fashion next summer. I really love this cut.giorgio aemani ss 2012giorgio armani s s 2012

Just Cavalli‘s inspiration remains linked to animal prints,  fringes , and the wild west. The general look of his collection, no surprise being Cavalli’s,  is intended to be very sexy.

On the opposite side, there is the classic, minimal, and monochrome collection by Max Mara.

For next season Gucci suggests a seductive trend, with a lot of glitter and gold, very “Charleston”.  These are my favourite outfit by Gucci’ Spring Summer  2012.

So, here are my picks from Milan. How about you, is your wish list ready? xxx
