Stay in style in Milan

Couple of weeks ago Giorgio Armani opened his flagship hotel in Milan in an unpretentious atmosphere due to the Italian financial crisis.the-exterior-of-the-Armani-Hotel-in-via-Manzoni-Milan
Not the best of time in fact to boast a luxurious. 11.000 Euros-per-night presidential suite… The hotel follows the opening of the Armani Hotel inDubai, within the Burji Khalifa Building, which is the world’s tallest building, and anticipates further similar projects by the designer in cities like Marrakech, London, Shanghai and New York.

Guests can treat themselves to a seventh-floor panoramic restaurant with views on the Duomo and, after the efforts of an intense shopping session in the city, they can indulge in the pleasures offered by a gym, a relaxation pool, and a rooftop state-of-the art spa. What more can one ask for?

Here the concept is based on a sophisticated minimalism, which is also Armani’s signature in the realm of fashion. Clean lines and neutral tones dominate this space in the same way they dominate the designer’s collections.  I love the sense of effortless perfection that exudes from Armani’s designs, although I think that the same aesthetics applied to a hotel can create a cold atmosphere – and I like cosy places!  But of course, this is just my opinion, and it’s a fact that the Armani is an absolutely beautiful hotel. So if you are planning to come to Milan keep it in mind, this is definitely and incredible place to be….

It’s almost July and I feel like the whole word but me is going on holiday!
Talking about holiday, Italy has countless beautiful places that are worth a visit.  In the south  west of Italy, in the region of Campania and not far from Naples, a must-go place is the Amalfi coast, wich is also an UNESCO world heritage site. On the Amalfi coast, linked by a stretch of road considered by many as one of the most scenic in the world, there are several picturesque villages overlooking a crystal blue sea.  Amalfi, Sorrento and Positano, are the most famous and exclusive destination of this area. I’ll let this picture of Positano speak:Positano, Italy

The beautiful little island of Capri can be easily reached by boat from the  Amalfi coast.  In these pictures are the well known ‘Faraglioni’ rocks and the ‘Grotta Azzurra’ (or the blue cave) one can admire in Capri. capri, italy

Capri is a really glamorous destination since decades. And guess what, capri pants ‘ name derives from the island , where  this style arose to popularity in the early ’60, thanks to the amazing actress Grace Kelly who in those years was wearing capri style pants precisely in Capri.  In Italy we call it mostly ‘pinocchio’ style, instead of  ‘capri’.  Anyway, capri pants are still now  a summer must-have.

Here is a very cool pair of capri trowsers in floral prints by Dolce & Gabbana, from their summer collection.  I love them, absolutely!
